Wet Felting Attempt

Needle Felting/ニードル・フェルティングでは

幾つか作品を作ったけれど、

今回は生まれて初めて

Wet Felting/ウェット・フェルティングに挑戦！

まずはバスタオルを敷いて

bubble wrap/バブル・ラップの上に

wool/羊毛を重ねて行って、

最後に好みの絵柄で色を配置。

＊Although I tried needle felting to make some items recently,

I've never done 'Wet Felting' before.

So, I tried out for the first time in my life.  How exciting!

First, I put a bath towel on the table,

then a sheet of a bubble wrap on top.

Putting layers of small pieces of colors of dyed wool on it.

At the end, I played with some small piece of fivers randomly

to make this pattern, sort of a floral design. ＊

今回はちょっとしたscarf/襟巻きを作る予定で♪

咄嗟に思い付きの配色デザイン。

＊It was really random,

I didn't plan ahead of any design or anything.

But, at this point, I think

I'm going to make it into a scarf.＊

これにハンドソープ＋熱湯の溶剤をスプレーでたっぷり、

上からメッシュを被せ濡れた羊毛をギュッギュッと押し、

クルクルとロールケーキみたいに巻いて更に押す。

あとは水ですすいで乾燥しフェルト生地になる予定。

（完成図は後日＠いつになるかは不明だけど）

でもって、

そんなこんなの作業をしていた日の夕食は

図らずも何だか似たような作業で、

タオルの代わりにオーブンシート

バブル・ラップの代わりにコーン・チップス

羊毛の代わりにタコ・ミートとチーズを重ね

仕上げに

トマトやアルファ・スプラウトや

サワークリームにサルサでトッピングで

Nachosの夕食。

＊Coincidently, I ended up to do exactly the same 

prep. and process here to make Nachos for supper.

Putting corn chips on the cooking sheet,

and then, making layers of Taco Meat,

alfa sprout, diced tomato, sour cream and salsa.

Voila! 

Yup, it was just like making the scarf.＊

ほんと偶然にも似たような作業をする日で

思わず笑ってしまった。

＊Anyway, I rinsed and left the felted wool to dry.

So, hopefully I'll be able to up date when I complete.＊
