先週、Sherbrooke通りで

先週、クリスマス直前のモントリオール市街へ行った。

＊It was fun strolling through downtown Montreal

last Thursday, just before Christmas.＊

やっぱり市街ならではの雑踏とか

華やかな賑やかさは独特の楽しい雰囲気があっていい。

とは言え、目的はクリスマス当日に作る寿司の材料調達で、

韓国食材店に足を運び、

寿司に巻く為の食材を仕入れることだったのは

何ともクリスマス的じゃない感じで。

せめて

クリスマスの雰囲気いっぱいの

素敵に飾られたショーウィンドウくらいは楽しもう

って感じにWestmountのSherbrooke通りを歩いて。

＊It wasn't my plan to shop at 'ZONE',

but I couldn't resist stopping by to peek inside of the store

on Sherbrooke street in Westmount.＊

やっぱり思った通り、

インテリア雑貨の店『ZONE』に寄り道。

特別なにか探していた訳ではないんだけれど。

最近引っ越したばかりの

狩猟が趣味のDavidの親友の為に目に付いた

＊I wasn't looking for anything,

but this hook caught my eyes.

Since a one of our close friends who is a hunter

has just moved away to a new place.

And I thought it would be a suitable gift

for his new (could be rustic) house.＊

玄関脇の壁などに取り付けるコート・フック。

そして、

ワインの栓を開ける度

飲み残した瓶にするコルクを探す

乗馬が趣味だった義理の母にピッタリ！

＊I found another "perfect gift" for my mother-in-law.

Since she's a horse lover, 

once owned a horse and used to ride.

And also, 

whenever we enjoy a bottle of wine together

it seems like she can't find a stopper nearby.＊

陶製のボトル・ストッパー。

必死に探してない時に限って見つかる

プレゼント探しの法則みたいなのが面白い。
